Some people believe that zoos where animals are kept in manmade environment will no longer remain in 21st century. Do you agree or disagree?

It is undoubtedly true that zoos have become an alternative home for many animals and species these days. I do not agree with the view that such artificial habitats will soon become absolute in current century.

In my opinion, there are several reasons why zoos will continue playing a significant role in future, and they will always remain an important part of the society. Firstly, modern zoos are the only safe and secured places for many endangered species which are on the merge of extinction. Animals here are taken care for their daily need of food, water and all weather suitable shelters. Secondly, the medical teams and scientists monitor their growth and progress to help them living a healthy life. At the same time, animals at zoos are not only protected, but they also have a suitable place for matting and, therefore able to grow their population.

Finally, zoos are increasingly used for education purpose nowadays. Many zoos have special discounted tickets for school children to promote learning about various animals which are rare to find in their neighbourhood. In other words, children are also taken for the school expedition at local zoos where students are given a practical knowledge of various animals and taught their importance in nature. By doing this, zoos are contributing significantly in spreading awareness among future generations so that they understand their responsibilities towards saving these animals.

In summary, it seems to me that zoos will continue finding their place in 21st century and communities around the world should help making these alternative habitats of animals close to their natural habitats.
