Reading & Writing Tips needed to secure 8 band

Hi All,

Can anyone advice me how i can get 8 band in writing & reading.

In writing i would like to understand which adjective,noun,pronoun,conjunction or which words to use to secure 8 band?

In Reading i am very week before i was able to get 23 now it has been decreased to 14 marks now i am decreasing every day & it is a dangerous sign for me. Please advice what other then reading passage fast?

hey abrar!

im jomz from Philippines. I have a similar problem before about reading.
I think you have to consider watching videos from the youtube about reading strategies and look for some technique that you are quite comfortable with. Basically, there are a lot of tricks and advices from experts and i think the best way to apply it is to practice and learn your OWN way because one technique may be good for one, and some may not be working with others. so gather lots of materials and practice practice and practice. :D

Hi,
I am not very good at reading either but I would like to share my technique in reading.
- roughly skim all paragraphs to get general idea and also scan key words when you read.
[focus on the introduction, topic sentence of each paragraph and conclusion; circle all the key words (For eg., Name of countries or people)]
- read the questions.
- Then, read it again and pinpoint the details based on the question requirements.

I hope it would help you to increase your marks.
