The table depicts the number of movie audiences and their preferred film genre from different countries. The figures are expressed in millions.
It is most noticeable that out of the nations indicated, India has the highest number of moviegoers regardless of the type of film. Also, of all the kinds of movie provided, action is greatly preferred while horror is the least.
Majority of the countries given have over 20 million cinema viewers with India first among the rank at 24.5 million in contrast to Japan with only 17.8 million.
Alternatively, action films have the highest number of audiences at 29.9 million. Romance and comedy have almost the same number of viewers with the former at 20.3 million surpassing the latter with a minimal figure of 400,000. Horror, on the other hand, has the lowest figure of film audiences at 15.8 million.
In addition, India has the highest number of audiences for action, romance, and comedy, ranging between 6.5 and 8 million in comparison to horror which is numerously viewed in Ireland at 6.4 million.
