Thank you a lot once more
I got a good result here (7.5) but I'd rather get a better score to balance any unexpected lower result (I've got to get a 7 overall with min 6.5 in each component), so adapting to these changes becomes vital.

Re: Listening test > Additional words/articles
Thanks, I perfectly understand the point now, especially for "much more". The question for "every second day" was exactly "In the second semester, how often did Kira work in a hospital". Every second day seems to be quite unpersonal and adapted here, I believe. Furtherm...

Hey mates! :) Here is a Task 1 description I did tonight (less than 20 minutes). Could you please let me know if this was good? How are the grammar and the coherence of my arguments? Which band would you give, in this situation? Thank you in advance! :) http://i.imgur.com/faMwuB4l.jpg?1 These two ma...

Listening test > Additional words/articles
Good evening! I have done a listening test from the Cambridge IELTS 9 book and have been quite surprised by the fact that the given answers did not always match what I heard (even twice or thrice). For example, in a form completion in section one, I must fill "Nearest bus stop = next to .....&q...

Task 2 > Extinction of species. Could you review it please?
Hey, I just finished this essay. Could you review it and let me know its value? Thank you a lot :) Many species of animals and plants are in danger of becoming extinct. What are the causes of this problem, and what can be done to prevent it from happening? More than ever in history, our ecosystem ha...

Task 2 > Compulsory teaching of a foreign language
Hey! I did this essay (paper-40 minutes) this afternoon. Could you possibly give me a comment and a probable band score for it? Thank you in advance! :) Learning a foreign language offers an insight into how people from other cultures think and see the world. The teaching of a foreign language shoul...

Thank you :) This is the first time I am taking the test, and I am aiming at a 7. I agree with you! As opposed to what is often thought, I think that languages are like mechanics or engineering: sound logical bases with many functional exceptions. Accents, slang and idiomatic expressions all have a ...

Re: Task 2 > Restriction of mobile phones
Thank you!
Generally, can I present two opinions and then make my choice?
I noticed that on prep services like Road to IELTS, on which some essays presented a double opinion before stating the author's.
Which band score would you give to this one, actually?
How is the grammar?

Since I don't have any access to my mike for the moment, I will describe it directly. A little leather bracelet that I found in a British supermarket on the occasion of my last holiday in Coventry (UK), last May. After bringing it home, I gave it to my best friend, since cheap leather bracelets have...
