WT1 - multiple pie charts

Post by jesus »

The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school in 1981, 1991 and 2001.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison where relevant.

The charts illustrate the expenditure of a UK school in separate years: 1981, 1991 and 2001. Over this span of 20 years, school spent their capital in five distinct areas.

According to the given diagrams, teachers’ salaries accounted for the most significant expenditure of school in 1981, where the figure of resources was similar to the furniture and equipment, at 15%. In contrast, the earning of teachers increased sharply, and accumulated half of the total expense in 1991, with the second and third highest percentage of other workers’ salaries and resources, being 22% and 20% respectively.

However, the figure in 2001 is slightly different. While school spent on teachers constitute gentle drop, furniture and equipment, at 23%, accounted the highest ever investment in whole 20 years. Insurance is recorded to be the least common area of expense in this year.

Overall, it is expected that teachers' salaries will remain as the major area of expense in future.
