Today, the world is transforming drastically in terms of new technologies. This can be seen affecting many areas of human life. Technological advancement made human life easier compared to earlier times. It will be shown that technology has affected relationships in positive ways. This will be proven by analyzing the technological advancements in the areas of telecommunication and transportation.

Firstly, telecommunication technologies opened new avenues for making long distance calls. Also, newer technologies like internet made video communications possible and cheaper. For instance, a person in one country can video conference with his grandchild who is in another country. Technology made this otherwise impossible thing possible. When looking at this example, there is no doubt that technology aids to foster relationships.

Secondly, transportation made travelling quicker. There are several modes of transportation for various needs, through air, water and land. For example, aero planes transport people from one place to another through air lot quicker than other transportation modes. A person working in Mumbai can easily travel to meet his or her family over weekends and return without affecting his or her work schedule as the journey would take not more than 3 hours. This clearly shows the importance of transportation in keeping in touch with one’s family regularly. From this, it can be concluded that transportation technologies aid in maintaining relationships in a positive way.

As a result, it can be seen that telecommunication and transportation technologies aid in maintaining relationships. As has been proven, technology has affected relationships positively. It is predicted that newer technologies would help to bring people closer.

Thank you. I understand, i should have touched upon the evolution of transportation technologically in the second para. I could have mentioned from bullocks to steam engines and from there to fossil fuel engines and now jet engines. I could have also predicted teleportation as a future possibility.
