In the modern world, the entertainers such as film stars and sports personnel have become extremely popular among the spectators all around the globe. Although it is essential being popular among the fans to sustain your career as a celebrity, there are however, disadvantages.
There are several benefits which are enjoyed by modern celebrities. First of all, there are enormous amount of financial benefits that are being received by film stars, musicians and sports personnel alike. For example, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, David Beckem and Brad Pitt to name a few of the celebrities who are among the wealthiest people in the world. Secondly, there is the recognition they gain all over the world and the mental satisfaction they get by knowing that they are being universally loved.
On the contrary, becoming a celebrity does come at the expense of the freedom and privacy of them and their families. For instance, we frequently do come across stories about family members of popular icons and sometimes celebrities themselves get in to serious trouble with sensitive personal information of theirs being published on the media. Some celebrities however, think that this is not such a great price to pay for what they reap in return. The number of people from the younger generation investing a considerable amount of their time, in order to try and become stars and celebrities, prove this point distinctly.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that the amount of benefits reaped by the celebrities nowadays outweigh the problems they have been forced to face due to their celebrity status and there are signs that the financial gains and other benefits which are being enjoyed by celebrities will continue to increase.
