Post by sunny0210 »

Hi guys,

It was my first attempt on 10th May 2014 without any preparation. I wanted to see how do I perform in real exam and then plan my preparation accordingly. Today I have got my scores but I don't know where does it stand.

Listening: 8.0
Reading: 7.5
Writing: 6.0
Speaking: 7.5
Overall: 7.5

Thanks,
Sunny

Well, it depends on your requirement.

If individual band 6 is enough for you , then you no need to worry about IELTS, in case, if you require individual band 7, then start working on your writing, because moving from band 6 to band 7 in writing takes at least 3 months hard work, especially if your are a new person.

If you need band 8, then work on all modules and give more attention to writing.

Hope this helps

Durai :)

Listening: 7.5
Reading: 8.5
Writing: 7.0
Speaking: 9
Overall: 8

Got 7 in All on my 3rd attempt.

It is a big relief for me.

How much score do we need for Australian immigration? I am not sure if we need a band of 7 in each module.
Please advise.

Hey guys,

My results

Listening:7
Reading:5.5
Writing:6
Speaking:7
Overall:6.5

I was my first exam, the genral module. I would like to have 6 for reading, but all in all it's enough for me now :)
Good luck!

Yep, you need to have 7 for every part if you'd like to have extra points for the overall score for Australian immigration programm. But if you have 6, it's enough to be involved in this programm. All in all, you should have 6 for every part and you will not have extra points, but you will be have opportunity to use it )
Good luck!
