It is believed that self confidence is the biggest power, human being possess. It gives us initiative which is necessary for big achievements such as in study or work. Thus, it certainly plays a vital role in the overall development of a person. This can be evidenced from the fact that self confidence provides motivation and courage to perform tougher tasks, which otherwise are considered impossible.
Self confidence motivates a person, especially pupils, who cannot foresee their future clearly. World renowned industrialist Bill Gates can be exemplified here, as he was failing lots of subjects while in school, still succeeded. This can prove that you can drive yourself towards success even when you cannot see it nearby. Thus motivation, which is a yield of self confidence, is needed to push you towards success.
In addition to that, if a person has the strength and courage, he can fight against the odds. For example, Nelson Mandela, who was a great social worker, contended against the whole system to throw away the racial policies. That explains the fact that self determination and courage is mandatory to acquire something big in life. So evidently, it is proved that without these qualities of life, success in any sort of work cannot be attained.
