''Failure is proof that the desire wasn't strong enough''
To what extent do you agree with this statement? Give reasons for your answers.

There are two ways of rating people’s work: it can either be successful or a failure. Some people claim that failure is a result of lacking the desire and passion to succeed. In other words people fail due to their insufficient motivation. Even though sometimes it is true, I do not agree with this idea completely.
First of all, we need to take in count the fact that success does not rely on motivation only. Many times it depends on other factors such as timing and even luck. A good example is the co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates, who dropped out of university to create a world changing computer operating system. There is no doubt that motivation took an important role in this process, however if it was not the rise of the computer era and if Bill Gates did not meet the appropriate people, the success of his business would be questionable.
Secondly, failure can also be considered as a positive sign of improvement. Many today’s billionaires have undergone through several bankrupts, which at that time may had seem like a failure. However, this gave them valuable experience, which supported them in numerous different projects and eventually brought tremendous success.
Thirdly, it is wise to use failures as an improvement measurement tool. Only through failure one can indicate what are his strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, by analysing these mistakes we can enhance ourselves, learn to not repeat them and possibly avoid similar errors in the future.
In conclusion, I think that failure is not a proof of weak desire to succeed, but rather a sign of unpreparedness to success. Consequently, everybody should use it as a tool of knowledge development and improvement.
