Hi, Durai,
Thanks for sharing about the movie. It doesn’t sound like it was fun to watch at all, especially with it being so long!
There were a lot of pronunciation difficulties with this piece. You speak fast, but the fluency bit is not there. I had a hard time understanding you on more than one occasion. I would encourage you to slow down and concentrate on pronouncing the words correctly. I didn’t get the title of the movie, for example, nor did I understand the part about it being “on the flat list. . .in 2012.” The latter part, I assume, is you saying that the movie did not receive good reviews in 2012. Finally, when you say the word “financial,” you make the first /i/ in the word sound like the short /i/ sound in “dig” or “fig.” Instead, the /i/ sound should be long, as in the word “ice cream.”
Here are some easy-to-fix grammar/content points:
- to some cinemas. . .located at city center – to A cinema. . .located IN the city center
- We just eventually got a ticket for our evening show. – I’m not sure of the significance of saying that you stood in line for the show. Was it to point out that you guys stood in line a long time for a movie that you ended up not liking?
- this wasn’t happen – this DIDN’T happen
- a girl. . .fall in love with a boy – a girl. . .FALLS in love with a boy
- wasn’t interested to watch after two hours – wasn’t interested IN WATCHING after two hours
- there was nothing to cherish – Cherish is a really formal and strong word to use in the context of saying what movie you didn’t like. You might have said, “There wasn’t much to write home about in this movie.” To not have something to write home about means that there wasn’t anything very interesting that you would want to share with other people about this movie.
- other of songs lie flat – You might say, “Other songs leave a lot to be desired as well.” You already said that the movie was flat earlier.
Best wishes as you practice!
