Students- evaluate and criticize teachers

Post by avsurti »

School students should be encouraged to evaluate and criticize teachers. Do you Agree or Disagree

Initiatives to improve the education system are always admired but when the immature students evaluate the qualified and experienced teacher whole education system need to face the detrimental effects

Overcoming the conventional form of education has become a necessity in the world where change is imminent. Evaluation of teachers in this course can be restructuring the foundation where students are the only ones who are continuously exposed to teachers and they are very well aware of the quality delivered. With rising technology and awareness to information even expectations of students keep raising the bars, where evaluation done by them can provide hints to improve the education system itself. In this process the involvement of the students will increase as they are made the decisive authority by even criticizing the teachers. Along with their attention even teachers would be expected to increase their involvement and make sessions interactive to get feedback of students on the first hand.

No matter how wise is the purpose, evaluation of teachers by their own students is principally incorrect as teachers are always considered as the mentors of students and historic epics have rated them equivalent to God. Here when the student is encouraged to criticize teachers, system will be handing over a open sword in the hands of monkey. Their immature mentality cannot differentiate the worth of a strict teacher and a cooperative teacher. This may result in quitting or removal of effective teachers which would drastically hamper the education system. Here the basic respect and the value of teachers get deteriorated.

In conclusion, it can be said that student should only evaluate themselves rather than becoming masters of their teachers.
