The generator is composed of two chambers overlying each other, and connected by two openings. The lower chamber has a wide side opening that is positioned opposite the wave direction, through which water enters the chamber. As the wave flows into the chamber the water level rises and causes the air in the upper part of the chamber to shift into the upper chamber through one connecting opening. Meanwhile, the upper chamber contains a vertical turbine through which the air shifted from the lower chamber flows, and generates a rotational movement. The shifted air is then discharged to the outside through a wide hole on top of the chamber. Air is sucked back in through a porous opening on top and then into the lower chamber through the other connecting opening when water level drops. The rotational movement of the turbine is used for electricity generation by a generator to which the turbine is connected.
Regarding the possible sites for installation of the machine, there are two options, each has its advantages and disadvanatages. The machine can be installed at large waves area at a deeper part of the sea, where the electricity output would be high, while the disadvanage would be the high cost. Otherwise, it could be fixed near the shore at small waves zone, at a lower cost. A lower output would then be expected.
