EOR and Retest Advice

Post by pba1234 »

I appeared for my IELTS on 24th Oct. I was surprised with my writing band score. Here are the results Listening 8.50
Reading 8.00
Speaking 6.50
Writing 5.50
OverAllBandScore 7.00

I've applied for an EOR just today, I am confident about a change. I want to keep a backup as well, so shall I register for another test? Will these guys be looking that up, they have my database? or shall I just wait for 6 weeks?

I'll appreciate some advice!
Thank you!

Hello!
I generally do not recommend my students get an EOR, as it costs half the price of a test and is likely to return negative. No, they do not check if you are taking the test again in the future or if you have taken it any other time in the past.
All the best,
David

Just wanted to update.
Got my EOR processed. Results came out last week. Scores updated.
Writing to 6.0 and Speaking no change.
Well, it was worth risking.
