In today’s job market it is far more important to have practical skills than theoretical knowledge. In the future, job applicants may not need any formal qualifications. To what extent do you agree oк disagree?

Nowadays, practical experience is more demanding in the labor market than possessing theoretical attainments. Analyzing the formed situation, in the future, degree qualification is supposed to become unnecessary for jobs applicants. I, however, tend to argue this statement.

First of all, academic knowledge is a foundation of any profession and specializations. Forming a basis for the occupation, these attainments transmit vital information to the learner. For instance, a builder is thought not only how to construct buildings or to lay bricks, but how to optimize the process of house erection and to make it more secure. Another example can serve employees with medical education, in which working area to possess practical skills is not enough for operating on patients and saving their lives.

Secondly, theoretical attainments are still essential elements for a majority of specializations such as science, economy, politics, computer engineering etc. there is no way to imagine how scientists will open new discoveries or find effective treatment from incurable diseases without formal qualification and high level knowledge. It also regards to politicians and economists, which will not be able to regulate the country or manage the governmental budget having only practical skills.

And finally, academic knowledge is a basis for brain activity development and improvement of reasoning. Thus, theoretical attainments allow people to strength their self-confidence and competitiveness on the job market.

My conclusion is that despite the possession of practical experience is much more appreciated by employers than theoretical knowledge, future innovations and discoveries will be possible only owing to serious intensification in fundamental science.
