]THESE DAYS MANY CHILDREN HAVE DIFFICULTY PAYING ATTENTION AND CONCENTRATING IN THEIR CLASSES AT SCHOOL .
WHAT ARE THE REASONS FOR THIS ?
HOW CAN IT BE DEALT WITH ?

RESPONSE :-

Today, majority of countries are spending heavily on academic excellence of children. Despite, such an investment of resources most pupils are suffering from lack of attention and concentration in classes . It is argued that excessive use of internet at home and consumption of fast food is the main reason behind this . To tackle this issue , restrictions on use of internet at home and junk food consumption will be discussed in this essay.

Firstly , one reason for the reduced level of classroom concentration among school students is the over use of internet at home . To counter this, an idea could be to encourage children to spend more time playing out door sports like cricket or football . In US, For example , a recent study suggests that children who were involved in physical activity for 2 hours everyday, showed better levels of concentration at schools compared to their counterparts who were engaged online for the same period of time. Thus, the above example clearly demonstrates the viability of this suggested solution .

In addition to this , frequent intake of street food is another reason for this situation. A possible solution here could be to raise awareness among children regarding benefits of a balanced diet . For instance, in Denmark , government officials are constantly working with schools to promote healthy eating habits among students . As a result, children in Denmark are the least victims of ADHD ( Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) compared to other developed nations where such an awareness campaign is not in practice. This illustration proves that a check on junk food can significantly aid children to pay attention in the class.

As can be seen, disengaging children from over-reliance on internet and encouraging them to shun fast food by eating balanced diet can play a vital role to make students more focused in class. It is thus hoped that these strategies are practiced every where in the foreseeable future .
