Task 2, please proof read it for me

Some people think it is a waste of money to establish libraries since the public can use the Internet at home to obtain information, do you agree or disagree?

In recent years, the development of information technology has revolutionized the way people receive information. Being abundant in information, the use of the Internet is today becoming prevalent. Therefore, it has been suggested that funding or establishing libraries is a waste of money. However, from my point of view, libraries still play a key role in storing and providing valuable and accurate information to the general public.

Admittedly, the prevalence of world-wide-website around the world has created a great amount of information for people to access. Many find it efficient and convenient to access a wide range of information with a computer terminal. In addition, the way that information is presented on the Internet is often vivid and easy to follow. As a result, many people, especially children are likely to be motivated when learning on the Internet. Moreover, as accessing to the Internet nowadays is not restricted by location and time, those who prefer to stay at home can enjoy searching information in a relaxed environment, while those who like to go outside can have instant information update wherever and whenever they want.

However, despite the fascinating capability of the Internet to store and share information, it is the fact that not all information available can be found on the Internet. For instance, rare books or written materials containing unique information such as engineering drawings of an advanced aircraft or a specific method to create a piece of art work are often limited in quantity and accessing to which can only be in authorized libraries. Besides, unlike information available on the Internet, which is not always true and accurate, information in libraries must be verified and written in most accurate ways before they can be made available to public. This is why there are many criticisms about the reliability of information on the Internet, while very few have doubted that in authoritative libraries.

In conclusion, although internet has brought us great convenience in terms of its great information resources and easy to access, its information coverage and reliability are not always as good as we expected. On the other hand, libraries play a much better role in providing accurate and true information, despite its limited information coverage. Thus, it is still important to make sure libraries are well funded and established, as they can supplement what we cannot get from the Internet.
