Please evaluate this essay

Post by qowlaks »

The earth is being filled with waste material such as plastic bags and other rubbish. Is this really happening? What are some solutions to this problem?

Over the past few decades, The issue of waste management has always stayed with us, many scientists are studying to find solutions to the problem. In relation to the significant problems involving waste disposal and people’s awareness, people’s attitude on this issue have not changed. This essay will discuss what is happening and how to resolve this issue.

To begin with, since many countries were industrialised, people have been producing mass products, and we now live in a mass-consumption society. The human race is wealthier than ever before with everything they want becoming accessible. However, the wealth might cause a materialistic society, people have started focusing only on their lives, not their environment. Therefore, the vast amount of waste material from households and industries have increased dramatically.

To find a solution to this issue, The Government has been devoting efforts to its research. The major problem that they have to fix is the material of the products. Most of them are not biodegradable and even if they are, It takes decades to biodegrade. In other words, people have to store them in landfill which occupies a lot of space. So we need recyclable and biodegradable materials. However, if we think about the cause of the great deal of waste material, we should take into consideration our attitude. For instance, we would better use our own bags instead of plastic bags and we should separate trash. it would sound like this wouldn't have a big effect but if numerous people do it, it would result in considerable results. Tho, government have to legislate to set stricter standards which would make people practice it ,and by conducting many environmental campaigns, people themselves would gain interest in this issue

In conclusion, I hold a view that a little practice by people couldn’t be better to achieve the critical results that may make this problem less serious. furthermore, if adding the result of the study on waste ,such as environment-friendly materials, it would lead to much better environment.

Over the past few decades, the issue of waste management has increasingly become a problem, with many scientists trying to find solutions. In relation to the significant problems involving waste disposal and people’s awareness, people’s attitudes on this issue have not changed.(<--What attitude? Positive, negative, unaware, uncaring?) This essay will discuss what is happening and how to resolve this issue.

To begin with, since many countries have become industrialised and mass-production has become common, we now live in a mass-consumption society. The human race is wealthier than ever before, with everything we want becoming accessible. However, this wealth might cause a materialistic society, as people have started focusing only on their lives, not their environment. Therefore, the vast amount of waste material from households and industries has increased dramatically.

To find a solution to this issue, the government(<--Of which country?) has been devoting efforts to its research. The major problem that they have to fix is the material of the products. Most of them are not biodegradable and even if they are, it takes decades to biodegrade. In other words, people have to store them in landfill which occupies a lot of space. So we need recyclable and biodegradable materials. However, if we think about the cause of thelarge amount of waste material, we should take into consideration our attitude. For instance, we should use reusable bags instead of plastic bags and we should separate trash. It may seem like this wouldn't have a big effect, but if enough people do it, it would result in considerable results. However, the government has to legislate to set stricter standards which would make people more environmentally aware, and by conducting many environmental campaigns, people should gain interest in this issue.

In conclusion, I believe that a little practice by people couldn’t be better to achieve the critical results that may make this problem less serious.(<--I don't understand this sentence. What are people practicing? What couldn't be better?) Furthermore, if adding the result of the study on waste ,such as environment-friendly materials, it would lead to much better environment.(<--I don't understand this sentence. What result?)
