Essay-Obesity

Post by Johanna »

Hi, it's the first time I post here so let's see how it goes :)

Over the last years, obesity has become a serious problem, not only for adults but also for children. This increases the risk of diseases such as diabetes, heart attack, and musculoskeletal disorders. Although many obese do not have any other medical condition, they lack quality of life. There are various reasons behind this phenomenon. This essay will discuss the causes of obesity and propose some solutions.
One of the main causes for this issue is unbalanced diet. Too much processed food along with fizzy drinks and a big amount of fats can be part of the problem. This could be tackled by going to a nutritionist to learn what to eat and how much you should weigh according to your condition. Another option is to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables.
Secondly, a lack of exercise plays a big role in a healthy lifestyle. Signing up at a gym, go running or playing sports like volley, basket or rugby is a must. A physical activity not only helps to lose weight but also makes you feel better and more fulfilled as a person.
In third place, anxiety and depression can lead to eating disorders. Emotions are complex engines that power human behaviors. A solution for this would be to look for psychological advice, such as therapy groups, psychologists, and supportive organizations.
In conclusion, obesity is a complex issue with a variety of factors involved. The solution to this problem does not rely on one person only, but rather on the community as well as in the government. If there are a number of activities and places to go that stimulate a healthy lifestyle, like healthy shops and sports events, then, hopefully, there would be a considerable decrease in the number of overweight people.
