Water is in short supply in many countries of the world, but consumption of water by families is increasing. Why is this happening? What can be done to preserve water?
In recent decades, water has become more shortage in several places all over the world. This essay will guide through the causes and suggest some practical solutions related to this crisis.

As the ways people live have changed, people have less concern about water. Most people are not aware of the consequences of using too much of this resource. It has long been a mislead belief that there is enough water despite the fact that only 5 per cent of the world’s territory is covered by fresh water. Nowadays, the consumers use water in many ways such as in consumption, vegetation, farming, and industrial uses. Admittedly, mankind has developed better utilization system over time. Humans have higher standard of living now than in the former days. However, it is undeniable that the amount of families’ consumption of water has rocketed and seen no hope of falling down. Thus, the principal concern seems to be the ineffective way of making use of water. If no measures is carried on to mitigate the problem, sooner or later, it will be too late.

In order to preserve water, a lot of actions must be done. Firstly, one might consider minimize water consumption. Not only does the individual save water for the whole society, he or she will be able to save his or her own money. Secondly, it is necessary to preserve available water resources. In particular, the quality of water in natural sources should be examined regularly by the organizations involved so that the quality is maintained.

In a nutshell, I would personally suggest the authorities to promote the campaigns on saving water; nevertheless, without the co-operation from the population, it cannot work. Therefore, every part of the nation should play a part on these preservation schemes.

Hello!

Your points are basically reasonable, but I think that you need to develop them in a clearer way, for instance by using specific examples. One or two points are a little unclear and need clarification, e.g. how to reduce water use and are people really unaware of the cost of water? Vocabulary and grammar are quite good, both in terms of range and accuracy.

All the best,
David
