The bar chart compares the rates of various crimes per 100,000 of population in four Australian regions in 2013. Overall, what stand out from the graph is that the lowest recorded numbers of crimes were car theft in the four mentioned regions. Additionally, North –West metro showed the highest rates of all crimes.

It is noted that the incidence of robbery from home was just over 450 crimes per 100,000 in North-west metro, South metro and Eastern regions. While, in Western region it reached just under 300. However, car theft crimes were lowest in Eastern region with 100 crimes. This was half of car theft figures in North-west metro in the same year.

Regarding North-west metro the rate of both assaults and drug offences were the highest figures for these crimes in the four regions with 340 and 280 crimes respectively. Finally, car theft and drug offences showed similar rates in South metro and Easter region which were 150 crimes.
