To solve the ever-increasing environmental hazards throughout the world, the best way is to increase the price of fuel.
What is your opinion on the above assumption?

environmental hazards is becoming the most concerning problem in the world. It is argue by many that increase in fossil fuel price will automatically solve the problem, however, in my opinion this alone would not help in reducing the hazards environment is suffering from, others serious measures would be necessary to mitigate this growing trend.

Many commodities are directly connected with the fuel prices and if price of fuel increases others prices will increase automatically. This co-relation is due to the fact that most of the transportation infrastructure runs on fossil fuel. For example, daily household products that are transported to remote areas will become expansive, which is not a sign of positive economic progression, due to higher fuel prices. This increase will not minimize the use of the fossil fuel powered transportation, however, there would be a slight positive effect on private cars. the users of private own cars will shift to other mode of transportation as they could not afford to drive one.

In addition to this, other soft measures are also available to minimize the hazards that temper the environment. Firstly, government could provide research funds to organizations that are working on alternate source of energy. This support will work as catalyst in their research. Secondly, it is a collective responsibility of individuals to save environment therefore it is important for them to consume less fuel. Last but not least, it is the government's responsibility to provide mass transit system which is the best alternative of private cars.

To sum up, even rapid increase in fuel prices will not ensure the safety of the environment. to counter this growing trend, collection of selective measures should be put into practice.
