The table revealed the total population, literacy rate by gender groups and death rate of babies in four countries (Poland, Brazil, Egypt and Pakistan). Statistics collected in the year of 2002.

It is safe to say Poland was the most developed country among all subjects. With the least population, less than 40 million, Poland had the largest proportion of educated people, both male and female, figures of which were 98% and infant mortality in per thousand births was less than 7%. Quite contrary, Pakistan, the one with the second largest population, literacy rate of which, however, ranked at the bottom of the list and even had a huge imbalance between men and women, as 68.4% in male group and almost 30% lessened in female. Percentage of baby died in per 1000 births was rather striking. Over 60% of newly born babies died in Pakistan, more than 10 times of figure in Poland.

Though Brazil owned population over twice as large as the one in Egypt, situations both in education and viability were more optimistic than Egypt, as not only literacy rate of both men and women were 90% beyond but also women enjoyed the equivalent opportunity as men do to get educated. While in Egypt, compared with men, women were less likely to be educated, as literacy rate of male and female was 80.3% and 63.5% respectively. Death rates of babies were not too much difference in two countries, as figure of Egypt was 27.26% and Brazil was just slightly less, at 20.51%.

In conclusion, it is fair to say Poland was most developed country comparing with the rest ones, while surveyed items were rather worrying in Pakistan. Brazil was also well developed basing on the given subjects while Egypt relatively lagged behind.
