Writing Task 2 - Academic (Please help to mark)

Post by rawrrawr »

Some people say mobile phones should be banned in public places such as libraries, shops and public transport.
Do you agree to disagree?

With the tremendous development in technology, it is no doubt that people tend to rely heavily on electronic devices like mobile phones, iPads etc. Although some argue that mobile phones should be prohibited in public places, I believe that usage of mobile phones eases inconvenience to people. Thus, it should not be banned in public spots.

One of the main reasons to support the fact is the multi-functionality of a smart phone could assist an individual to execute tasks that he/she could perform without having to be physically present at a place. For instance, with just a few clicks on the applications in the phone, users can easily make fund transactions without having to go through hassles of driving, queuing up and waiting for their turn at the bank.

Apart from this, cellular also serves as a main contact device for people to keep in touch or to be reached at immediately in the event of emergency. If the banning on mobile phones at public places takes effect, it would be troublesome for citizens to get connected with each other instantly. Another example is that, imagine if there is a secret operation that requires speedy communication between two parties that are located at different place for updates. The entire operation might not run smoothly as the important gadget is out of the picture.

In conclusion, citizens should be educated on the proper usage of the mobile phones at the right place rather than to forbid the utilisation of phones in public.

Hi,
thanks for your writing

I would like to add a sentence with you

Most of the librarians think that using mobile phone in library is destroying the fabric of our deep study. Therefore, using mobile phone is nothing short of disturbing others.
