An original mock Academic IELTS reading exam

Post by Ryan » Wed Nov 25, 2015 1:58 pm

A small team of IELTS enthusiasts and I pulled this mock exam together a while ago, but I never got around to publishing it online. Find a quiet moment and give it a try! Post your score as a reply to this opening post. (And let me know if there are any typos I overlooked. ;))

Dear Ryan,

To me, this mock test 1 is tough as I only got 23(lowest of band 6) scores, especially passage two I almost got every wrong questions.
Any suggestion for improvement though ? :D

Hi Ryan
I usually get 8 or 8.5 in my reading's practice test (and 9 couple of times). but this test was really hard and I only managed to get 34 correct answer. So, my band score is 7.5.
There is a typo in questions 35 to 40. option A is not written correctly. It should be like this:
"Climate theory played a very small role in the United States in the late 19th century"
