Post by Ryan »

Are you taking the IELTS in 2017? I would really appreciate receiving the Task 1 and 2 questions you see to help with a new series of IELTS YouTube videos I am building. Please reply publicly to this thread or send a private email to ryan@ieltsielts.com. Thank you!

Writing General:
Task 1,
Write a letter to colleague, explaining him why he should choose your accomodation and why you are leaving?

Task 2,
Most of countries allow 18-years-old drivers while some countries has decided it to be 25-years-old
Give your opinion after discussing both. (Sentences might be change but the theme is as above).....

In letter .. as it shows its a semi formal letter...to a colleague...
starts with dear xyz

I wrote i am moving to the other city (job transfer)
I wrote the following points
1) its location close to office (walking distance)
2) flat, own parking (basement)
3) fully modernised (TV, WIFI, furnished, secured CCTV)
4) close to city center, shopping, restaurants
Then closing statements
Importance of accomodation while being new to a city,
It covers over compan's accomodation policy ..
Yours sincerely,

Great. Thanks so much! Many people reported the Task 2 question you saw or a variation of it. Actually, I pulled together an example response in this video:

I took the test last Jan. 21 in NZ.

Task 1 was 3 pie chart with different years. It was about Australian students after they finish secondary school; go to universities, have a job or unemployed

Task 2
Many young people in their free time go to shopping malls. This cause negative effect to them and the society they live in.
To what extent you agree or disagree in your opinion

That is all I can remember.

It's an excellent essay I am wondering you used word motivator more than once. Would it effect the marking?

Hi Ryan,

This are the topics from my exam in London 17\06\2017

For writing one

Two pie charts about the change in the professional qualifications that workers in some electronic company have in 1998 and 2008. In 1998, there were two types of first degrees for art 20 % and science 25%, two types for masters art 11% and science 29% and two types for PhD art 2% and science 11%. In 2008, the percentages were first degrees for art 11% and science 10%, masters art 13% and science 29% and PhD art 7% and science 30%.

For writing two

Some countries show real criminal trials to the general public on the television.

Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

For reading
First text about botany
Second about behavior
Third about business

For speaking
Part 1
Where I live? in what prefer to live in the future, house or apartment?

Part 2
Describe place where you've been recently
With who
What you did
When was that
Why you like it

Part 3
Why famous buildings are so important for the cities
What are the benefits from historical buildings

I hope it's helpful
