Please note that this section of the website is considered an experiment, carried out with the intention of benefitting exam takers the world over. No part of this experiment seeks to interfere with the IELTS administration process or the integrity of the exam. This experiment is not endorsed by, nor is it affiliated with, the IELTS administrative authorities (Cambridge English Language Assessment, British Council and IDP Australia). Users referred to as "examiners" on this site hold current credentials from Cambridge ESOL confirming their examiner status.

The IELTS Network is excited and very privileged to welcome active examiners to our knowledge base. In this section of the website, you are invited to ask examiners questions pertaining to the IELTS and how it operates and is administered. You may also ask for guidance with respect to your personal study plan and how to improve. Please note that this is not the place to post your writing and/or speaking samples. Examiner users at this website are aware of the "Post your speaking" (http://www.ieltsnetwork.com/viewforum.php?f=4) and "Post your writing" (http://www.ieltsnetwork.com/viewforum.php?f=5) sections and will direct all skill feedback there. Let's maintain deep respect for the confidentiality arrangement these examiner users have with the IELTS. Please be understanding if told that certain parts of your question(s) cannot be answered.

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to David, an IELTS Speaking and Writing examiner from the UK that has been active in China for 15 years. David estimates that he examines around 2000 candidates a year. He has written and run several IELTS courses and has carried out several IELTS teacher training programs in his 15 years of service. Welcome to the forum, David!

Thank you, Ryan! I look forward to helping you all with IELTS related problems and questions. My main areas are speaking and writing, but I am also teaching reading and listening. Please try to be specific with your questions. This helps me to identify exactly how I can help.
