Re: Give feedback on my speech

Hello, Rishurishabh70, Thank you for sharing your IELTS speaking practice with us. First, I’d like to say that you have a good vocabulary range. I heard “flourishing” and “enhance,” for example. I also heard “beneficial.” You have a good introduction, supporting details, and conclusion. I would enco...

Re: Speaking about my favorite foods and friends

Hi, Alaamagdy007, Thanks for sharing your thoughts about your favorite kinds of food and friends. First, I’d like to say that I’m sorry I didn’t get to this recording before your test. Hopefully, this feedback can still be of some general use. Your vocabulary is quite extensive, for the most part. Y...

Hi, Bekhruz, Thank you for sharing about your dream to visit Italy. I’ve been there just once, and it was by far one of the most memorable places I’ve visited. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is certainly something to see, and so is the Circus Maximus. I would say that your rate of speech is one of your s...

Re: Assess this speaking, please

Hi, Yura, Here are a couple of things I noticed: Emphasis in your words and word groups can sometimes be a bit off. For example, I am not sure of British pronunciation, but the word “located” is emphasized in the first syllable in American English. So it would sound like, “LO cated, but when you sai...

Hi, Yura, Thank you for sharing this memory of going to the seaside. It sounded like you had a lot of fun! You really covered all of the parts of the question well. You answered each question fully, but you didn’t go overboard and give too many details. You used some good transitions, like, “for exa...

Re: Please assess my IELTS Speaking :)

Hi, Dat, You really hit the nail on the head with this speech. You incorporated several transitions, some of which were rather sophisticated. I heard “Let me tell you my best experience,” “We did several exciting activities. One of them is. . .” I also like how you brought the speech back around to ...

Hi, PrasadAnumolu, Thank you for sharing about your favorite season. One of the main things I notice about this speech are that you repeat a lot of your vocabulary. You say climate, cool, festival, and season several times. It would probably be a good idea to develop a list of synonyms to prevent th...

Re: Assess this speaking, please

It is not annoying, but you really should be confident enough in yourself to speak without a script. No one will think you are dumb because you are learning English. He will praise the fact that you are so dedicated to learning it and trying to speak it. I speak Spanish, and I know I make mistakes a...

Re: Assess this speaking, please

Hi, Yura, I am going to focus on pronunciation for this recording. There are a couple of recurring problems. One is with the “oo” sound in “football” and “childhood.” The “oo” in these words do not sound like “oo” with very rounded lips. Watch this video to help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Thanks for sharing this one, Yura! I have always thought learning German would be amazing. I love the way it sounds. That and Russian. Anyway, you were definitely reading or working from a memorized text at the beginning, but it sounded like you were just talking in a conversational style toward the...

Hello, Sats, Sorry I’m not Ryan giving you feedback, but maybe I can provide some insight as well. Thanks for sharing about your favorite holiday destination. This place sounds really beautiful. I am going to start with vocabulary. You use “flora and fauna,” which is high-level, but a bit too formal...

Hello, PrasadAnumolu. This answer was very direct and to the point. You gave good supporting details, which added to the understandability of your speech. The organization was better this time. Repetition is still a problem for vocabulary. You repeated “we enjoy it a lot at that moment,” as well as ...

Then either find the conversation partner that is a native speaker, or you record yourself and listen to yourself over and over again. Another good way to have better pronunciation is to listen to news broadcasts from the BBC or from Voice of America. You can find me on Skype at leylanorman, but I d...

As I think I've mentioned before, the best way to overcome this difficulty this to practice. I was suggested to practice with the conversation partner. Practicing these part two questions over and over again will help you. If you wish to contact me, you're welcome to do so by emailing me at the emai...
